What makes a strong submission
Every proposal gets a fair read from our review team. The talks that rise to the top tend to nail these:
On-theme & timely
Connects to the 2027 theme and a current, real-world security issue.
Credible speaker
Backs your take with relevant experience, prior talks, or published work.
Original angle
Brings fresh research or a new perspective, not a rehash of familiar material.
Actionable value
Sends attendees home with tools, techniques, or strategies they can apply.
Broad appeal
Resonates across the community, from students to seasoned pros.
Built to engage
Builds in demos, Q&A, or discussion to keep the room involved.
Based in Tampa Bay? Mention it — local speakers are a plus. Everyone else is just as welcome to submit.
Where does your talk fit?
These tracks frame the conversation — but they're a starting point, not a fence. If your idea is sharp, we want to hear it.
Offensive Security & Red Teaming
Adversary emulation, exploit development, and real-world attack paths.
Defense, Detection & IR
Blue-team tradecraft, detection engineering, threat hunting, and incident response.
AI & Machine Learning
Securing LLMs, adversarial ML, and using AI to sharpen defenses.
Cloud, Web & API Security
Multi-cloud, serverless, containers, and modern app and API defense.
Hardware, IoT & Infrastructure
Embedded and IoT hacking, side channels, and physical or OT security.
OSINT, Social Engineering & Privacy
Human-layer attacks, open-source intel, and the tech-meets-liberties frontier.
